GP just phoned to say TSH 15.3 ,FT4 2.3 ,T3 4.7. I am going to increase t3 to 40 mcg ,slowly by 5 mcg increments at a time .

More than likely

I hope the increase helps! Remember that t3 tends to suppress TSH so don't be too concerned if this happens. On its own, it doesn't necessarily mean you are overmedicated when this happens. Go by how you feel and consider your free t3 level, bearing in mind how long after your last dose the blood was drawn.

Thanks Carolyn.i last took t3 at 1830 night before blood test which was at 0915 am.

It's best if you can leave approx 24 hours between thyroid hormones and test. If you take a late dose you can miss this and take your dose after the blood test which should be as early as possible and fast too.

Yes it would as your metabolism is dropping. Your TSH is very high. My doctor said all TSH readings should be no more than 2 but t3 suppresses TSH so it can go lower. Mind is almost suppressed it I'm fine
