amssmith7,
I am sorry to hear that you are not well but welcome to our forum.
In order for people to comment you need to post all of your blood test results complete with the ranges (numbers in brackets). Your doctor should let you have a copy of your results.
Hypothyroid symptoms may be felt even when doctors tell you your hormone levels are "normal". There is no normal as what is right for one person may not be for another.
There are many very knowledgable people on the forum who are always happy to advise.
Thank you I asked for details and she refused so I am going to contact my practice manager and complain she said my symptoms were because of my age I am only 53 she then said i was menopausal but I had hysterectomy at 45 lol she obviously didn't read my notes I left in tears.
Welcome amsmith7
As already stated, many doctors don't know how to diagnose patients with clinical symptoms but only diagnose by the computer print-out. 'Normal' doesn't mean much to us who have the symptoms. Ask the surgery for a print-out of your latest blood tests for your own records (we are usually a bit shy to do this but we are entitled to them and we do want a proper diagnosis).
Make sure the ranges (figures are in brackets after the results) are also stated and if GP hasn't tested your Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate ask for these to be done too.
Post on a new question and members will respond.
Thank you I am going back to surgery to ask for results x
