This happened to me after my first baby. What did the doctor do? Prescribed Valium! No tests, no nothing!

It happened to me too! My doctor prescribed Deanxit, followed by Valdoxan.
i suffer hypothyroid and chronic pain. got quite down so given citalopram 40mg, went to-day because very anxious, prescribed propanalol, which is a beta blocker, eg for raised blood pressure but can also treat anxiety x
Silly doctor! What that should have told him is that you are not on enough thyroid hormone replacement. He should have done bloods and given you an increase rather than prescribe a load of dangerous drugs! But, hey, why look for the root cause when he gets paid extra for prescribing antiDs and belta blockers! There's no money in thyroid!!!
Aaahhhhhhh Greygoose.....how do I love thee, like a summers day.....you just switched a light on......ta
Wishing you well. X
I got the same GG. Eventually thought they were not working so wondered why I was taking them. Went cold turkey in my ignorance, but after a few months began to feel emotions more and better in myself. Eventually (after 19 years) felt much better on Norton Levo.
