Hi there, i have been diagnosed with hypothyroid a year ago and have a goitre on the right side of my neck. Since taking thyroxine, now at 100micros a day, my goitre is slightly smaller but its taken a long time to reduce. I find it changes in size sometimes depending on food and drink intake and possibly excercise. Alcohol seems to make it smaller! has anyone else experienced this? Im not saying this is a good thing, just interesting.

Welcome to the forum, 201520152015.
Some vegetables and soy (excluding fermented soy) are goitrogens which can affect thyroid and may cause your goiter to enlarge. You could keep a food/symptoms diary to monitor which foods affect it.
Exercise can deplete T3 which can cause the the thyroid or goiter to enlarge in an effort to produce more hormone.
