Meds at Night

Hi, My DD(17) has been on her Meds for almost a week. She's continually feeling nauseous and is white as a sheet. I feel better if I take meds at night would I be mad to change her to meds at night and see if it helps?

You don't say what meds. If you were meaning thyroid hormones, then have a read here:

Also, I have posted several times that I found vitamin D appeared to resolve my own nausea, though there are many causes so it is one thing of many to consider.

Hi Helvella, It's her T3/T4 combination meds. She's on her second Vitamin D 50,000ui tablet this week too. We agreed to try last night, she ate at 9 then took the meds at . I'm hoping we see a slight easing up of the nausea at some point this week. How much Vitamin D did you have before your nausea stopped?

That should say took the thyroid meds at 1. Her Vitamin tablet was taken at midday.

Difficult to say - I was taking 5000 IU capsules most days at the time. Nausea was very slow at fading away, maybe over months? But quite possibly, had I been expecting anything, I'd have noticed some change sooner.

Thanks. Nausea today again. I think I need to stop hoping for a quick fix. It's her exams soon and I think we may have to write off this school year.

Rashes can be important symptoms - or minor.

I certainly do not know enough to advise and therefore suggest that a GP visit is in order.

I would call the GP, maybe it's a allergic reaction to the meds.
