Hi I had my thyroid peroxidase levels back results are 29kiu/L on a range of 0.00-35.00kiu/L. It says normal-no action.Just wondered if anyone knows if this is an OK result as other results from thyroid are classed as normal when not

Thanks

Your anti-bodies are in range so nothing to worry about at this point. Many things can cause the TPO levels to rise I have read on STTM - Stop The Thyroid Madness website. I was diagnosed in 2005 with very HIGH anti-bodies and they are still at 850 :-)

You could take Selenium 200 mcg for 3 months - then off for a month - and then back on. ( My GP here in Crete suggested that pattern )
