Brill. Thanks you everyone! It's for my auntie who has PA and her three-monthly injections but still is prone to tiredness, anxiety and considerable memory loss.... I suspect it may be magnesium deficiency actually.,..

The above link takes you to the Guidelines that GP's SHOULD have read It clearly states that CLINICAL signs should be treated and NOT just the blood test

Three monthly is NOT enough for someone with PA....in the majority of cases. It is a cost cutting exercise for the NHS - even though B12 is so cheap ! I am sorry but it is keeping people unwell and in need of money-earning pills and potions. Sorry rant over ....

Really...? Urrghhh.... My overt clinical signs and symptoms were routinely ignored by an array of doctors who insisted on huge doses of venlafaxine (despite not actually having a mood problem)!
