Tyroid menopause and hot flushes / sweats

Hot Flushes, please can anybody tell me if menopausal hot flushes could be even worse if I am taking to much tyroxine ? The sweats and flushes are herendous but I am showing no other signs of being over medicated. I would really appreciate any advice etc if anyone can help. Thank you. Happy New Year to you all !!

Marditart, do you have recent thyroid blood results you can post with the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after your results) as it will help members advise whether or not you are overmedicated.

Hi Clutter, thanks for your response. I have not got any current blood test results at moment , my Dr is not very forth coming to ever let me have them , but will endeavour to get them and post on here. thanks again.

Marditart, ask your practice manager for a printout with the lab ref ranges. The Data Protection Act entitles patients to a copy of their test results for a nominal fee of £1/£2 to cover the cost of printer ink/paper. Alternatively you can pay £50 to obtain all your manual and electronic medical records or wait until April when they will supposedly be available online.
