I want to get private blood tests I have never had tests for thyroid please can someone tell me what to ask for and what companys do the most comprehensive tests?

Blue Horizon have a special offer for December. It's usually a pin-prick test and you also get a discount if you put in TUK10 and Thyroiduk as the consultant. They destroy their copy.

The tests I have used (so far) :

1) Comprehensive Plus V from Blue Horizon (they have several different web sites) : privatebloodtests.co.uk/

When using the above website, make sure you use any special offers highlighted in the banner of the page. It also reduces the price a little bit if you register with the site. You need to give a doctor/practitioner name - use Thyroid UK (the charity whose forum this is).

2) This saliva test for checking cortisol and DHEA levels : gdx.net/uk/product/27

Again, use Thyroid UK when they ask for a doctor or practitioner.

3) I also use this blood test for thyroid because it includes reverse T3 :

Blue Horizon have been expanding their range of thyroid tests this year and I haven't done any comparison shopping yet, although I intend to.
