Hi. I'm on 100 mic Levo. Been average.. been at my new job 6 months. Going along fine... But last week I felt like I hit a wall. I suddenly felt unwell.. Tired.. Drained.. My thigh muscles hurt.. I just felt my batteries had been taken out!! Anyway today .. A week later I'm still the same ! Had 2 days off work.. Just on sofa. No urge to lift a finger.. Went doc she said do all bloods.. Waiting in them now... I feel a bit like when I was first diagnosed.. Weird!! It's like my blood has germs in it and I'm tingling all over!! Horrid depressing feeling... Do any of you think my b 12 might come back low.. Read symptoms last night. Same as how I feel xx thanks

Mummyg, It sounds like you may need an increase in thyroxine. Low B12 usually presents with numbness and tingling in feet and hands initially. Hypothyroid patients are often low in B12 so it may be that. Post your results with the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after your results) and members will advise. Hope you feel better soon :)

Get tested for Pernicious Anaemia specifically, ie the antibodies as opposed to just your b12 levels, as nhs will just say your levels are normal no matter how low they are. If you have PA they must inject you

Hi mummyg,

I am sorry you are not feeling well. There's no thyroid history in your Profile so am don't know how long you have been on levo. You most probably need a rise in your medication. Did you have your blood test as early as possible and not take levo until afterwards? If so, get a copy of your blood tests with the ranges and post on a new question for comments.

Have you had frequent blood tests or have you been stable for a while?

This is an archived link but it is self-explanatory. Most of us if on levo should have some T3 added but the most important is that we have a low TSH.

PS it's always better, if it is at all possible, to have the earliest appointment possible as our TSH is at it's highest then. It begins to drop thereafter.
