Dull headache on Nature Throid

For the past five weeks I have been taking Nature Throid. I recently raised the dose as I had hypo symptoms but now have a dull headache every day. I have since lowered my dose slightly. Did anyone else have these headaches? Do they eventually go when your body has adjusted to the new medication?

Hi Nik I would like to know this as well as I have been on Nature Throid for a couple of months and I too get a kind of dull headache which comes and goes during the day - I take it at night now which seems better for me. XX

Hi Sheenah, by taking NT at night has this stopped the headaches or do they still come and go by day?

They are still there but just vague - It has definetly been better taking it at night - my sister is on Levo and she has found an improvement taking her meds at night - I had also developed an awful hand eczema but that is now nearly gone - (please God). I also take Nutri Thyroid in the middle of the afternoon. I am on 3and a half to 4 grains per day having built it up slowly. My brains are slowly coming back into functioning mode and have stopped putting on weight although still finding it very hard to lose it - my hands were practically bleeding, but almost back to normal now. xx

Hi Sheenah, thanks for the top tip - my headaches have almost gone. Not sure if it was because I took the meds at night or if I am getting used to NT. Either way, now have to deal with the hair loss and weight gain which seem to be my most pressing symptoms at the moment. Superb news about your recovery, must be such a relief for you. I have read your blogs before and notice you see the doc at Winchester. I almost went that route but decided to see a functional doctor in Bristol who has suggested I follow the GAPS diet. I am going to have my adrenals checked next. Did you have to do this? x
