The latest on the ERFA debacle from STTM.
Thanks for posting this joesmum. So they tested the concentration of the tablets from the batches people had complained about but not the actual content. The problem can never have been about the concentration otherwise everyone who takes ERFA would have been affected and complained, the problem must have been in the fillers, or due to some sort of contamination (lots of people mention allergy-like symptoms) or due to the compression machines causing some sort of chemical reaction - but that doesn't explain why some of us have had problems with batches made in the old facility in Belgium.
I began a switch to Thiroid this morning and, in case that doesn't work for me, I also have some Thyroid-S and 12 boxes of Greek T3 (€1.18 per box of 30 x 25mcg), let's hope one of them works and that you find an alternative that suits you too!
I am in the process of changing from Erfa to Nature-throid - think I am feeling better but am currently in the middle of an unpleasant summer virus (lavverly) so not sure yet. Interest will be when my husbands Erfa from the Doc runs out fairly soon and he switches to what we bought from the States - shan't mention it to him and see what happens XX
Its bull! so many people would not be having/had difficulties if there wasnt a problem with it end of story. wonder how many patients they have lost over this, probably keep denying it until it damages their bank balance.
