Usually people who are hypothyroid have a slow heart beat until they are put on medication and it is increased until they feel well. Someone will comment on your blood pressure as I don't know enough.

Do you have a print-out of your latest thyroid gland blood tests, with the ranges. If so, please post them. If not, ask for a copy and post on a new question. GP should also have checked your Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.

I am sorry you are feeling so unwell, but I felt worse on levo than before diagnosis with palpitations and widespread pain. You should have been feeling better now if you were on optimum medication and levo was working for you.

Some GPs go only by the TSH level and if it is 'within range' stop the patients' increase n meds. This is not correct. They also tell the patient that 'it's nothing to do with the thyroid gland' when it is.

Always get copies for your own records from now on and make sure they have ranges. Do you take your levothyroxine with 1 glass of water and wait 1 hour before eating, or if you take night time dose, make sure you last ate 2 hours before.

On the morning of your thyroid gland blood test, don't take your medication until afterwards and have it as early as possible as TSH is highest then.

Hi Tatty, I don't know about the heart shaking, but do you feel a hard thumping during the night? Did your problems start just after increasing to 150? Sometimes adrenal issues interfere with your hormone working well and though you increase your dose, it isn't improving your symptoms. It would be good to see your FT4 and FT3 levels. This is what Stop the Madness Now website mentions about optimal lab tests:

That seems really low to me - but then I've got high (and recently very ) high blood pressure so I would love it if mine was same as yours - I have just looked it up on my trusty BP chart and you come within the 'normal' range. Can't believe I would tell anyone they were within the 'normal range' myself.bloodpressureuk.org/BloodPr...

Your pulse seems pretty low though - is it always that low? Is it regular or jumping about and / or are you breathless? Might be worth seeing how you go and making an appointment with your doctor on Monday or even calling your surgery out of hours service if you feel worse before Monday. Hope you feel better soon palpitations and that sort of thing are horrible.

Hi thanks for all the replies, i am due to see my endo in 2 weeks, i take my levo very early in the morning with water well away from all my other meds, i do take blood presure tablets but my slow pulse is worrying me because its usually about 90 i have been taking 125 micro of levo for about 8 weeks and thought it was working well but this feeling of my heart shaking has only just started, i also take simvastatin and calcium, iron vit d, selenium all at night, my endo will not test for t3 only tsh and t4 and calcium will post results when i get them.

Not surprised you are concerned about the slow pulse - it is very slow isn't it. I'm assuming you're not an athlete. When my BP was sky high recently my pulse was pretty low which seemed a bit odd but I never found out why. Good luck anyway.

If it's any help I used to get palps when I wasn't taking enough levo and once it was increased they went away again - until I needed my dose increased.

I often get heart thumping at night which can keep me awake. My pulse, too is slow first thing in the morning beteen 47 & 53 bpm & I have a blood pressure silimar to yours. I'm not on any medication & my doctor is unconcerned about my slow heart rate. I have asked for a heart rate monitor, though, as it sometimes goes much slower than that & reallypounds like it's struggling to keep going. I bought a pulsometer which showed it dropped to 40 during one of these episodes.

Does the 'shaking' feel like a 'flutter'? If so let your GP know in case slight atrial fibrillation.

Yes it does feel like fluttering not positive beats, seeing the doc tonight pulse still really slow average 40 beats per minute and i am most certainly not an athlete,
