I take 20mcg and 5mcg T3 pills and in my latest prescription I got a bottle of my usual Paddock for the 5mcg pills and then a bottle of other 5mcg pills. These are smaller and have 115 KPI on them. I've found out this is King Pharmaceuticals.
I've been feeling mentally and physically foggy the last couple of days and am wondering if it's been these new KPI pills.
Are these even licensed for the UK? How can Boots give me an unlicensed product when there is a licensed product available? Is that legal or proper?
I'm going to make sure I take only Paddock 5mcg for the next couple of days and see what difference that makes (just taken then with my second dose and my brain feels more awake).
Can I take these other KPI ones back to Boots and get the proper licensed pills?
Thanks.

Shows what I know, I thought all UK T3 came from MercuryPharma!!
Sorry you haven't had any answers, there's not a lot of people around at the mo - site is supposed to be down for an upgrade and there are no email notifications going out! *sigh*
Hopefully everything will be up and running again by the beginning of next week...
Thank you for those, I haven't seen them before. I thought Paddock was licensed but maybe not then.
For me Paddock works well but taking the Pfizer/Kings pills I've gone downhill. I'm grateful that there have been discussions about different brand and bad batches on this site because that made me wonder if it was the new pills I'd been taking.
I'm going to make sure I just take the Paddock brand and the other 20mcg pills and see how I get on for the next couple of days. If I'm fine, which I expect will be the case, then it's definitely the Pfizer/Kings that just doesn't work well for me.
I'll just have to get my next prescription sooner and take in the excess Pfizer/Kings pills to show my GP so she can see I'm not needing a prescription sooner because I've taken them all!
Thanks,
Totoro xx
No 5mcg liothyronine tablet is licensed in the UK. They are imports from the the United States. Boots will not be able to exchange the medication - you would need a new prescription.
