Has anyone ordered NDT whilst living in France? I was wondering if there would be a problem with customs.

I don't know the answer but they may allow it for personal use. You could always buy a very small amount and see what happens. The worst that can happen is they will prohibit it.

Unfortunately, although I suspect that is the most likely bad outcome, desiccated thyroid is actually illegal in France. I do not have the details of its status but if it is like, say, DHEA in the UK, the sanctions could be worse than that.

(I don't think there is any problem with someone carrying a small amount as they holiday in or travel through France. Don't want to start a mass cancellation of summer holidays. )

You can buy T3 over the counter in France though. Perhaps this would suffice.

I am prescribed T3 in France but want to try NDT. You can't buy T3 in France, you need a prescription.

I live in France and can't even get T3! Finding an endocrinologist who will even listen is pretty hopeless. If anyone has an idea I'm open to suggestions. 15 years on Levothroid and still not well. 30 kilos heavier and little bald patches. Tired. Went to see a specialist for chronic tendon pain who told me my thyroid was unbalanced. Took his letter to an endo whi said it was rubbish and my numbers were good so no need to do anything!!! Oh help... Please.
