Not familiar with the product - but sounds as if it may contain Folic Acid which is needed to work well with the B12. Or it could be Iron or both !
Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis of PA. The NHS guidelines of 3-monthly B12 injections may not be adequate for you. It may not bring you optimal health.

Lots of information and advice in the above link - also a 47 page pdf file of how to self-inject if you could buy your own ampoules. Did you sign the petition for having B12 injections available over the counter instead of with prescription ? Posted by hampster1 last week. A lady who is also a good source of B12/PA information
With the pathetic amount of B12 it contains, a waste of time for anyone other than those who simply have a diet low in B12. Also, most people would suggest that cyanocobalamin is not the best form of B12 (preferring methyl- or hydroxo-cobalamin).
Note that it also contains iodine - something to consider carefully in people with thyroid disorders.
I would also wish to be sure of my iron levels before taking any iron supplement. Too much iron is definitely not good. (They even warn of that in children.
Some people find they cannot tolerate significant doses of vitamin B6.

Hi it's not worth you getting this as I have b 12 jabs also, I also got extra b 12 and iron supplements to perk me up as I feel so tired, I told the nurse what I had bought and she says my body doesn't absorb b 12 the only way it accepts it is in injection form straight into the body. I hope this helps.

Absorption
In food, vitamin B12 is attached to a protein that must be removed in the stomach by gastric acid and an enzyme called pepsin. Once B12 is free, a binding protein attaches to it and protects it while it's transported to the small intestine. Once in the small intestine, a substance called intrinsic factor takes B12 from the binding protein and allows it to be absorbed into the blood, where it functions in promoting health.
Thanks for that, really helped. Can you advise where you get your B12 supplies? Thanks, Karen
