If she has already been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and been put on medication after your grandson was born, she is not on enough medication as her TSH is far too high and she wont be feeling well.

If you have the ranges of her blood tests, the figures are in brackets, it will be easier for members to comment on them. Also give the dose of levothyroxine she is taking, or if she is taking an alternative give name of product.

For your information, I will give you a link re pregnancy and read the answers from the third question onwards.

does she see an Endocrinologist, or is it her GP alone who is treating her?

GP at the moment you wouldn't think she had a problem now as weight that she couldn't shift has now gone since on meds and she is full of beans?

Well, if she is full of beans, I have no explanation as to why her TSH is high. Maybe that's what her body requires.
