My doctor told me that I was borderline under active thyroid but he could not re-test for 6 months. Why not?

Doctor will not give me any medication until confirmation of thyroid problem. Am very depressed as have been to weight watchers and lost nearly 4 stone and now putting weight on again,.

No reason other than that he may be trying to save money on tests and prescribing. Sorry. :-(. Can you ask for he results of any tests you have had done and pst them on here.... One persons view of borderline is someone else's view of hell!

Please show your results ..you will get help on here reading them as at a guess they will be far from borderline..ask for them to be printed out for you at surgery ..never accept verbally always get printed

Yes welcome! When you post your results which are yours by right can you also post the ranges. Different labs use different ranges. This is important especially if you are 'borderline'.
