Polite request not to use capital letters as it can be considered rude. Thank you.

I hope you won't mind me mentioning this, but I replied to someone in a similar vein as yours, she was always posting in upper case. It was on a forum I used to be admin of once. It turned out that this member had very bad eyesight and it was the only way she could see words. x

Hello, welcome to our forum.

So many of us have similar problems as you do in trying to get a diagnosis. It's a case of us having to read and learn as much as possible but the first thing you can do is to get a copy of your most recent thyroid gland blood tests, with the ranges, and post on a new question for comments. Just ask the surgery for a copy (they cannot refuse) and say it's for your own records.

Some doctors may give a trial of thyroxine but others are strict and will not consider it, despite the patient having symptoms.

Once you post your blood tests it gives us an idea of how best to help you.

Hi

As shaws say get your results from your G.P. you are entitled to them then post on here and we can advise.

3 months is a long time when you are feeling bad.

Best wishes browny

that's the way of it im afraid (in my experience anyway) they need to wait a certain amount of time to test again - it took me just under a year to finally be prescribed levo - and I know only too well about the symptoms also - just try and go with it and you will get there in the end

I'm not quite sure what level your tests were, but you may find this post I did last year helpful... it shows clearly that anyone with a TSH level of over 5 (often considered 'borderline' by many) should be offered a trial of levothyroxine if they also have symptoms. Being untreated is miserable - Good luck. healthunlocked.com/#thyroid......
