I'm having a panic over T3.

Last endo. appointment in January he said my T3 was high,he showed on the screen,it was mid range with T4 at the lower end of the range. I was on T4/T3 combo. This was my first and last visit to this man.

Since then I have gone T3 only slowly increasing the dose to 3x20mcg. Then I panicked,is this dose too high? Will a blood test help? What will my endo. say (same team.)??

I've tried doing vital signs,but BP is still slightly raised temps slightly up (36).Over hot feet at night.

Do I cut back my dose or stay as I am?

When taking thyroid gland medication, the best way to judge is by 'how you feel'.

As T3 is quick-acting, you could reduce slightly to see if you feel better/normal.

When taking T3 alone your T3 is high, T4 low. This is a link which may be helpful.

I recommend checking out the group 'Recover with T3' on Facebook. You can ask to be added and then you'll see people on the same meds as you getting help and advise.

Have you had you iron and ferritin tested, vitamin D?

Hi Kiltis,yes I'm on Recovering with T3 on FB. It was flashing Paul's book in front of my GP that swung it for me. I told my GP I didn't want to see that horrid little man again. So accommodating as he is he has allowed me to try T3 only. My iron etc. were tested a year ago so perhaps it's time for a retest. Thank you for your reply.xx
