Is anyone aware of any studies about the effects of stress on the thyroid health and the impact of stress on hypothyroid patients?

I have noticed that while my stress levels escalated in the last one year, there was a corresponding need to increase my levo. Have other people noticed this?

I think there is a strong link between stress and problems with the HPA axis, which the thyroid is part of. I am convinced the root of my immune system issues is in the stress I was subjected to as a child.

I also have had issues with extreme and chronic stress over may years. I dont know which came first or whether they go hand in hand. Whether hypo or having suppressed tsh, i react v badly to stress. I know i have adrenal issues.
