Have they 'Seen The Light'......

....at last and are things due to change for the better. I got blood forms from GP last Thursday and then got a 'bug' of upper respiratory tract for 48 hours, But, hooray, I managed to get through this without the aid of the dreaded antibiotics (though Strepsils helped). Because of this bug I did not pay much attention to what bloods were to be taken, but when I went this morning I saw on the form that only T3 was to be taken (bet the Lab Techs won't be happy about that) and not the golden TSH. So am wondering if they have realised their folly of all these years and are now going to do the right thing (or almost). Actually I feel much better on Wockhardt, but am still plagued with 'spots' and aches and pains (though not so bad). Feel enough strength to fight on now. Janet.

Janet,

Good news about FT3.

Are you also taking B12? Spots and acne can occur as your levels are improved and corrected and usually resolve after a while. This link refers to B12 injections but I imagine similar symptoms occur with sublinguals. b12d.org/b12-injections-wha...

Hi Clutter, Always look forward to your answers and posts - so useful, but recently my B12 went up to 913, so came off them just before New Year. Still take B-Complex, approx. 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off (must have another test soon). When I can afford it I will come off it for a couple of months and try the live B12 test. I also still take Nutri Adrenal and keep trying to come off this, but obviously still need it. In fact, bad day today, feeling faint and sick, so think adrenals are still not right. Think I will have to re-assess all my supplements again, but really feel the problem is Thyroid meds. Thank you for link - have been on this site before. Wish I was still on Eltroxin. Janet.

Did you investigate Aliud?

Think I have made a bit of a mistake and got Henning, but understand Aliud have less fillers and might be better. Still have it in mind though. Any information on either would be good, but wish I had now gone for the Aliud. Have only been on Wockhardt for 6 weeks and it is certainly much better than MP but is causing reflux quite badly. Had bloods done yesterday so will be interesting to see what results of T3 are as this was the only test done (wonder if it will be?). Should have result by Monday. However, even if results are good, that still leaves the question of the reflux. Ongoing treatment from hospital for my son re this might throw up some answers. Will keep this site informed. Janet.

Helvella and, I think, Moggie will be able to tell you how to source Aliud from Germany for self medication. It's lactose free branded Levo. Your GP might even prescribed on a named patient basis.

Have all the above info to hand thank you, but good to know about GP possibility for my son as this is what I was thinking. Thanks for your input Clutter. Think you keep us well-informed on this site. Janet.
