Hi, A couple of weeks ago someone posted an excellent link to a video about what vitamins and minerals are needed for each stage of normal thyroid function, would appreciate
can anyone send me the link to a video clip of ... - Thyroid UK
can anyone send me the link to a video clip of which vits/minerals are needed for normal thyroid function?
I hope someone finds it for you... I'd be interested in taking a look too Sam
Taking vitamins without getting tested first can cause you problems in the long run as they will give any doctor that is testing you false readings and any issues you may have will not be diagnosed. Have you ever had your B12, vitD, ferritin, folates and iron tested and if not can you not get them tested before you supplement?

Thanks for advice Moggie. Have been tested for all above and vit D deficient and am on a good supplement (bought it myself as none prescribed). Iron and ferritin on low side of normal range. Currently on Vit D, high strength B complex and omega fish oil. Will need to stop high strength B for a while as have been on them for 2 months and folic acid too high last blood test. Will definitely take your advice as I know taking vits blind without testing can be dangerous. I would like to get tested for all main vitamins/minerals and especially magnesium, selenium and zinc as these are also important for thyroid . will have to get this done privately as GP wont check for these.
This is a link re vitamins.
Think this was it:

And as Moggie said, get tested first, and get copies of the results.
