I'm off to the GP tomorrow to request some blood tests in perpetration for my Endo appointment, I had Thyroid last tested in Jan. What time of day taking blood gives the most accurate reading for Thyroid?

Blood tests - what time of day?
TSH will be highest early in the morning.
If you take levo in the morning and have a morning blood test then make sure you don't take your levo until after the test or you may get a false reading.

I'm not on any Thyroid medication. By saying TSH is highest in the morning, does that mean that it's accurate or it would be a false reading?
TSH follows a circadian rhythm and fluctuates throughout the day and night. All results are real.
If you need a diagnosis of hypothyroidism TSH needs to be >5 if you have thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPoAb) or even >10 without TPoAB.
TSH is highest in the early morning. If you wanted your TSH to be lower, perhaps to avoid reduction in meds, testing at 13.00 would best when TSH is lowest.

Do you know if taking slow release T3 makes any difference to this rhythm?
thanks! I'll see if I can get it. I've never heard of the author or the book. Excuse my ignorance, but what's an 'FB page'?
Title might actually be "Healing Myself with T3". It advocates timing T3 dosing according to circadian ryhthms. Paul Robinson posts on here occasionally and sorry, FB is FaceBook.
