Just recently been having difficulty getting a good deep sleep. I keep waking at about 4am and tossing and turning. I have never had problems with this before. Am on 50mcg Levo-all vits etc showing normal levels and was actually feeling ok before this. I took Vit D3 supplements and selenium etc which helped lots with energy levels. Anyone having this problem-any advice appreciated.PS not anxious / stressed about anything but the utility bills.

...could be adrenals ? It would help to have your latest blood results with their ranges....for the thyroid and the vitamins - B12 Folate Ferritin Iron VitD. Showing normal levels is not quite precise enough - they need to be high in their ranges for optimal health.
The next post down after yours is about Paul Robinson. He has good information about circadian rhythms and T3 - his book and website are informative. Could be helpful rwt3.com
Hi, I'm with you, my sleep has been terrible for weeks, it's got so bad I dread going to bed because I know it's going to be a battle! I hope you get something sorted let me know if you do. X
My classic symptom of too low a dose of thyroid hormone is poor sleep as you describe. If I had the problem that you have I would be increasing my dose to see what happened. It's not infallible, it depends how worried about the utility bills you are :). I don't know what time you take your T4, but if you are taking it in the morning you could try moving the timing to bedtime and see if you sleep better
Thanks for that-my classic symptom of too low a dose has never been sleeplessness. Constipation-yes-extreme fatigue-yes but never inability to sleep. I'll give it another week and try to give up the late night schnifters! Seriously though I think it's time for another blood test so we'll see. Ps have stocked up on reading material!
