Does thyroxine effect the eye, all of a sudden darkness, faintish, giddiness. Any thing that can be done.

Undiagnosed &/or under medicated hypothyroidism can affect eyesight ie colours seem bleached. light dimmer and vision poorer. Faintness and giddiness can be symptoms of under medication and over medication.

Conception can be difficult and miscarriages more frequent when undiagnosed/under medicated. Please read thyroidchange.org/2/post/20... and hypothyroidmom.com/what-eve... There are other links on the site re pregnancy, foetal development and post partum hypothyroidism.

If you are getting the symptoms you describe, I urge you to get seen by a doctor urgently.

Sudden darkness is not something we can put down to thyroid hormone alone - and many of the other possibilities need to be checked properly.

Thyroid hormone levels tend to change fairly slowly and the impact on eyesight tends not to be sudden. Soother causes really must be considered.
