Hi All, I'm from Portsmouth area and whilst my GP isnt' too bad (understanding and keen to get tests done) the biochemists at QA hosp have refused to do some of the tests so I'm debating going private. Would be very interested if you manage to find a good private endo. x

Hi, Have had some good responses. Still deciding whether to have blood tests private with Blue Horizon, or to see private endo. Its annoying when Drs ask for tests and biochemists refuse. Doesn' t make sense to me. Will let you know what I decide to do. x

Hi Portsmouth people. Just seen these messages as I've asked advice about laboratories in Portsmouth. Does anyone know of a laboratory near Portsmouth that does lots of tests privately and then explain the results and give advice? Thanks

Hi Soldieress, Sorry, can't help you, but hope someone else on here can. I had blood tests with Blue Horizon , as wanted FT3 and FT4 tested. Results were good. Thinking about NDT , but I know my Dr won't prescribe it. Am waiting for an appointment with ENT, as have some swelling in neck area. About 50 days wait, can't even get a date for appointment yet.
