I've been diagnosed as thyroidal borderline. Symtoms seem a mix of under & over active. I'm also emphysemic.

Rapid weight loss, nausea, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, feeling that neck muscles are about to tear, constant peeing, ridges on fingernails, low blood pressure.

Should I report to knackers yard?

Step away from the knacker's yard. It's premature for borderline 'roidies. Post your blood test results, with lab reference ranges if possible and what meds and doses you've been prescribed. Let us know if you've tested for any vitamin and mineral deficiencies and what, if any, supplements you take.

Your symptoms sound over active except for loss of appetite.

Some of those suggest adrenal problems as well: nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss, low blood pressure.

Yes these symptoms are similar to mine and I have been referred with suspected adrenal problems. I had been on thyroxine for 6 months for my underactive thyroid but had made me feel terrible so I am not taking them now and feel much better. Just a three month wait to see the specialist :(

Did I mention I also suffer from arthritis?

All three ailments kind of cross over, which makes it difficult to say which symptom belongs to what!

I've a scan next month, but bloods & urine have revealed a big fat zero...except borderline thyroidal.

The lack of appetite is no longer a problem, as I got past that & now force myself to eat six, yes SIX, meals a day just to stay at eight stone.

Hypochondria appears to be the one I need for a full set. ;-)
