Why are you not receiving treatment from doctor? Any way you will notice mostly lots of people are getting thyroid issues and cancer do to GMO Foods Genetically modified fruits and vegetables meat with steroids to increase meat and antibiotics, the water has fluoride and chlorine and the air has chemtrails which has aluminum, titanium, uranium and other compounds. All this is causing are organs to shut down. Drink spring water, eat organic fruits and vegetables, eat organic meats if not vegetarian is better. No sugar or wheat it is contaminated. If you do this you will get better and not get diabetes, bladder issues, go back to natural wholesome foods but organic, read what you eat if you can't understand it don't eat it it's not food but lab chemicals, also no preservatives.

Hi bookknowlege, Do you have some links to reports which prove that people are getting thyroid problems due to gm food, please... This could be an interesting path to look at as I didn't realise that was happening. Also, what is wheat contaminated with? Thanks. G.

No GMO in the Eu ... yet. So that can't be a cause in this country.

Hi

For me it was a task of convincing the doctor to trial Levothyroxine as I was symptomatic for a long time, but kept coming back borderline on tests. In the end I went for private blood tests and with masses of information from this site finally convinced the GP. Life is not perfect, but it is definitely better than it was before.

My mother on the other hand has been borderline for most of her life, and still doesn't get treated! Her GP doesn't want to add more tablets to her bloodstream as she is on some pretty heavy medication already for autoimmune diseases.

Hi You say borderline but is that you or the GP?For a "proper" diagnosis you need TSH, T4 and Free T3, then a print out of results with the ranges ( differ). Receptionist, routine. There are other tests useful too. If the GP will not/cannot do all 3, you can use on line. it needs to be a reliable company that docs know. I use Blue Horizon either a syringe for venous blood, if someone will fill it for free ( my GP does) or slightly dearer finger prick ( so described but not really,). Do not go through a private hospital, very expensive. Quote TUK 10 for a discount, £10

Best wishes,

Jackie

Presumably you had the blood tests because you were/are having symptoms? If so, and you are told you are borderline, then you could ask for a trial of thyroxine to see if it relieves your symptoms. As Jackie has said, do get a copy of your borderline results printed out at your surgery and post them on this site so that people can comment.

Hmmm. I can relate to you. I am an ex nurse and 25 years ago I diagnosed myself as low thyroid 5 years before my GP would listen to me let alone do a test! It was only when I practically collapsed in the surgery one day that he said - Oh yes, you have low thyroid. Doh - I know that years ago! He said he would not prescribe thyroxine because I was not low enough to need it - IDIOT! That was the start of a journey I am still on - trying to get well. I had to pay for private treatment as my GP would not listen to me. I have now moved to another surgery and am lucky to have a GP who listens. I am still seeing a private doc because I want to take NDT but at least my GP is on my side. Shame that I have had to be ill for most of my 30s, 40s and 50,s through ignorant doctors and endos. Keep asking for a trial on Levo and it it does not suit you then think about NDT. Good luck.

I was 'borderline' for many years with many symptoms but my GP refused treatment until my level went under. This is not unusual. The powers that be tell doctors and endocrinologists not to treat until the level has dropped below. Think of all the money they are saving the NHS - not!

We start with people growing cabbages each generation they are shown by their parents to grow cabbage. Then the government stops their parents growing cabbages. The next generation does not know how to grow cabbage. The cabbage gets covered by the official secrets act. And the government changes.

Pretty soon cabbage becomes a myth.

Then Uruk a scientist discovers or rediscovers cabbage.

He knows not how to grow it.

He does not know its effects.

The cabbage is not the same as the mythical the soil has changed not for the better.

Do we eat that cabbage?

Some don't understand the question.

Others don't believe.

While others go ahead and eat the cabbage and sell the cabbage. Or the new myth.

Some people get sick it's not until the next generation do they get sick. Each generation they get sicker.

You tell them it's the cabbage.

The government did not tell the civilian population it was covered by the official secrets act..

And why the cabbage was band in the first place.

Because it was sprayed or genetically modified.

So what do the people eat?

Cabbage!

When the computer first came out we had to be careful. Take frequent breaks and only use it for a few hours.

Radiation effects the thyroid.

It's the same story.

Carol
