What private tests would be best for me.......

I'm feeling fed up with doctors,so I want to try myself to find the key to better health and I'm hoping you all can advise me , info to start with ,

I'm 53. Been hypo for 3 years now on 75 mic thyroxine , I've put 3stone on in the last 3 years , it never goes down whatever diet or healthy eating I do( I take coconut oil and all the usual vitamins ) every time I go to my doc and say I don't feel right, she always says any other thing I should do. Ie... Excersise bla blah blah.. I have dry skin palpitations, constipation general tiredness lethargy no libido at all. The last time I had bloods done I had a call saying u cholesterol is up .. Went to see a different doc. She had the cheek to say it went from 5.8 to 5.9. "Why do you think that is?" ER cause I'm hypo!!! Stupid woman!!! I give up!! , I'm generally NOT me anymore. She won't put my dose up as it's "fine and in range"

All I want is to find out if I've got say... Bad adrenals, not absorbing t4. I really don't know what way to turn my last tests were t4 14 top No is 15! I know you need more info so tomorrowi will get the last 2 sets and post them. All I want is to loose weight!! Sorry I've gone on but I'm so fed up ,,

Oh and it am 5.1 and 13.4lb. Just want the old me back , thanks for this site you are all soo lovely and helpful, keep up the good work x

It will be interesting to see a copy of your latest thyroid gland blood test results, with the ranges.

If the suggestion below re your GP doesn't help, then I recommend trying the private care route (there is a list of good Drs on Stop The Thyroid Madness) - that was the only way I was able to get help with trying Armour Thyroid at first, and then T3 only. I still haven't managed to lose the weight yet, but I certainly feel more like myself and am finally able to excercise!
