Anyone been to Frenchay hospital (Bristol)?

I have my first endo appointment on Monday with a different endo however I've heard on here that he's very good. Can anyone who's been to Frenchay pm me so I can discuss this please?

Jo do bare in mind that you may not actually see the Consultant, you're appt may be with one of his team.

Hi Hypohen, I've only just noticed that on the letter that I may be seeing one of his team. Does that mean they won't exactly have the same views/opinions as the consultant?

It's a lottery I'm afraid, junior docs will take notes and if possible run and ask the Con what the next step is, if you see a registrar then they can make their own decisions, they don't all necessarily sing from the same song sheet !

Oh dear. I'd best be on my guard Monday then.

If I do end up seeing a junior doc or registrar, can I ask about seeing an endo straight after? I don't know how this whole thing works!!

Unlikely as the Consultant will have his own list of patients to see. You will just have to wait and see what happens on the day, you may end seeing the Con anyway so it won't be a problem.
