Hi Simon

Sorry you have had no replies - perhaps someone with relevant knowledge will pick this up from Latest Activity...

Maybe if you explained what sort of advice you are after, it might help.. :)

If is it a Blue Horizon test, you could try contacting them directly...

I looked into this at length, but all my research pointed to the fact that most of the tests are flawed for various reasons (ie the hair test, the blood test, etc). I had many of the symptoms of mercury poisoning anyway, so decided to just go ahead and get all my mercury fillings removed.

The questionnaire i was given by the dentist pretty much negated the need for a formal test: i think 1 ticked 18 yesses; if you ticked just 5 then you pretty much definately had mercury poisoning.

I guess my point is: if you have an obvious source of poisoning, like mercury fillings, or root canals with all the various poisons they contain (formaldehyde, etc) then it is sensible to address the source/cause.

Saying that, the half life of mercury is up to 30 years, so getting the fillings out doesnt change the fact that mercury remains lodged in your thyroid gland, gut, etc - but at least you stop the continual leeching out from your fillings.

Hi thanks for your reply.

I am not aware I have any poisoning as such but I have hit a wall with my recovery. I think my thyroid meds are doing as good as they can and adrenals are not too bad now. I have always had the hunch I could have some heavy metal poisoning because when I got ill 15 years ago I was working as a motorbike courier in london and I was breathing in a lot of pollution at that time! So you see it wouldn't be too silly to suspect some damage from that. If not just to scratch a psychological itch.

So what is the best and most accurate test do you think Blue?

Thanks

Simon

I cannot recommend any I'm afraid. I cannot remember all the info i had stored in my head for a while but it was something about neither blood, urine, nor hair tests being accurate as the stuff tends to lodge in your glands and tissues and organs. Sorry i cant be of help. Just be careful as they are some pricey tests out there claiming to give you the answer.

I agree you have a good reason to be concerned.

By the sounds of it the urine one is the best, from the little i have researched. I don't have any hair to analyse! Lol
