Has anyone used a hair analysis test by Cortigenix please?

hi, I’ve completed saliva tests in the past to check cortisol, but have discovered there’s a hair test that can track 3 months of cortisol levels. I’ve contacted them, but yet to receive any more information and wondering if anyone has tried this and found the results useful please?

many thanks…

Interesting to hear of a hair analysis technique that appears to have value. I hope the others (charlatans) don't add false claims to their offerings.

Yes, sounds like it could make sense! I've used hairtests in past, but at the time.there were only 2 places in America that were deemed reliable then.

These are slow in replying to my mail and questions, but will give them one more try!:)

Hi there, haven’t heard back as of yet…been a bit tied up with chasing another delayed in post test etc, this wk, but I’ll ring them tomorrow, then get back to you. Is there anything else you can think of useful to ask? I can’t seem to work out on reading if they give 1 average result or it’s broken down into more readings…spk to u tomorrow.

Thanks great - that's my question exactly re the average/broken down results. And I can't work out whether or not the results will be useful. I would like figures, not something saying Low Normal or High...can't tell what format the reporting uses.

They need to provide a sample test result, and if good, they might get quite a bit of custom here.

Maybe @don'tforgetcortisol has questions?

Looking forward to your findings!

Tagging in Hidden as yours didn't seem to work?

in reply toTiggerMe

Yes I am very keen to know more! It would be ace to get a long term view on cortisol! I have contacted them as well as their website didn’t yield much. I am very in favour of hair mineral analysis for nutrition so I’d love to know how this compares!

I'll tag that back to Sneedle 😉

Hi all…well, have tried countless times to telephone but nobody is answering, there’s no recorded message etc. Have emailed for the 3rd time now,so beginning to wonder what’s going on?! Doesn’t bode well, if we were trying to contact them for results does it!? Trying to get reviews up, but had no luck so far, so doesn’t look like a good avenue to go down at this moment in time!

Oh fish! How annoying. No doesn't bode well.😠Stamped with Must Try Harder in my file.

Well done for calling and thanks for reporting back. I feel a pointed question coming on, on one of their sm channels.

Hi Sneedle, sorry for slow reply…thank you. Have just received a reply, to one of the 3 emails I sent!

Apparently I went into junk, how to make a girl feel good🤣This is what they said…

Our COT test measures yr average cortisol levels over past 3 months. Results are presented in your cortigenix portal with a breakdown of what yr results are. You will have opportunity to discuss your results with one of our clinical team,

You don’t need to use special shampoo. When taking sample we ask you to leave your hair tie on the root end. This makes it easy for us to identify the most recent growth when analysing your sample.

Back to me…well they haven’t answered my questions about how results are actually presented, how many results are given over the 3 months and in what format- numbers or high/low, etc and no example results provided. So I’ve emailed back to ask again…!

Thanks for letting me know - sorry you went jnto junk!😅 Well done on going back to them, may your persistence pay off. Load of slow pokes honestly.

They can't blame junk now, I hope 🙏.

Me again! Just received another reply!

They sent a graph, but unfortunately only one reading is shown, in numbers as an average for the 3 months, and this then falls into a choice of 5 blocks of colour, optimal, below, etc. Seems rather a shame, if they are taking several readings, that these can’t be marked on the graphs, to provide us with a timeline. It could have become worse or better, but averages out as ok!

Also lifestyle pages included, with info about cortisol and howto make adaptions to your life.

So at least we know now! Take care…
