NDT WITH Nhs London? Or reliable online supplier...?

Hi!

My story is really long but I will try to explain it easily!!

I was under Levo for 15 years; always tired, struggled with food, never felt good-always felt like something was missing.

Started to search to have the Ndt prescription: first I had a referral for an endo in Chelsea and Westminster hospital. I had to wait 3 months for this visit/ then I I saw him in August and again in November. He didnt do anything, he just told me to increase my LEVO from 125 to 150. My TSH was really good in may (0.09), that made me see that I need a suppressed or so TSH to feel good! In 2 weeks it raised to 2.90!!! I don't know what happened. I have gained more than 6kilos!! Being active and under strict diet.

Anyway this endo at the c&w told me literally "YOU CAN'T HAVE NDT WITH NHS"... I thought that was weird cause I read some people had it prescribed with NHS!!!

So this pissed me off... Because after a minute he suggested me to see him privately....:))

Then I went to see another doctor close to London (dr ch), he started to treat my adrenals and gave me some supplements from nutri advanced. Nothing I haven't been taking by myself in the years. Whatever...

He always asked me what they told me at the hospital , what the endo have been saying like he needed suggestions or advices from another doctor! What??

Anyway... I was so tired about this behavior and this ignorance toward Ndt!! He asked me if the endo thought I needed a T3 integration or I was fine with eutirox and stop...

First of all my ft3 was low (2.5), and second of all: you don't rely only on the ft3 to prescribe the Ndt! It doesn't contain only T3, it has a lot of things inside like T1-T2-T3-T4 and calcitonin so you can't just look at the FT3 to decide whether or not prescribe NDT!!

I had a dear friend who changed his medication from armour to erfa and he gave me armour he didn't need so I have started a week ago and so far so good. My thought is that until I can't find a good doctor, I couldn't be any worse so I started decreasing my eutirox and starting with a small dose of armour for a week and then increase etc...

So far so good, I know my body and I am absolutely sure that eutirox is not good for me anymore, if it ever was.

I am checking irons and adrenals cause I know that you need then sorted out if you want to be successfully under Ndt!

My question is that someone knows about :

1)GPS who prescribed Ndt with Nhs

OR

2) private doctors IN THE LONDON AREAS willing to prescribe me that without making me see them two or three times (I already had all the tests done from urine to saliva and hormonal eye). I have the list of this site but some of them are really expensive and I can't take the risk of going there and not having it prescribed again! And I'd like to find an ally in this process, a doctor who might be my partner, not an enemy to fight all the times!!! :(

OR

3) reliable online suppliers that might help me? (Pm me of course).

I am thanking you in advance, hope you'll give me some suggestions etc!

If ch is Chandy he is a highly respected NHS doctor, particularly interested in adrenal support. The questions he asked wont have been because he lacked ideas or insight.

You'll have to ring private doctors prior to making appointment to check whether they prescribe NDT.

NHS doctors willing to prescribe NDT are rarer tjan hen's teeth.

I'll pm you an online link.

Just noticed your mention of struggling with food. Have you had a coeliac screen? You maybe gluten intolerant or sensitive. Very common in hypo people.

Yes it was negative but I have a gluten sensitivity, I'm sure of that!

I am following a pelo regimen autoimmune protocol and it is very strict... Not having eggs, nightshades, sugars, grains, gluten dairy and can't lose weight!! A nightmare!:((

I am sure the thyroid is the one to blame as I am very active and careful when it comes to food!
