My dr says my ferritin level is fine. 54 ug/L. I think its to low, but Dr doesn't seem to listen to me.

When I saw her today she finally agreed that I could see endo. But NOT because she thinks I need to, but " so it would put my mind at rest " I haven't been sleeping well for over a year, get nauseus , hot flushes, hair loss, ( eyebrows disappearing, even eyelashes !! ) I asked if I needed vitamins , she said my blood test was ok. But I couldn't see any mention of vitamins on the copy I got.Anyway, she gave me form for endo, I booked on line. Monday 10th Feb. Hurrah !!

I love when they say that - my last GP sent me to the hospital after calling me 'a teenage hypochondriac' and saying that a trip to see 'actual sick people' would sort me out. I then spent 4 days in hospital with a burst cyst that had infected my appendix.

Some GPs should be allowed to deal with patients.

I also told her I was thinking of having an Active B12 blood test done privately, she said there is no such thing, only the B12 test I had. I give up !!!

Hi, I was told my ferritin was fine at 25, the GP said so long as its in range it's fine! I've been taking spa tone for the last 6 weeks and I can't tell you what a difference it's made, my hair isn't dropping out so much, it looks thicker, the dark circles under my eyes have faded and I have stacks more energy. It's probably worth giving it a try while you're waiting for your appointment to come through.
