I have a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck and a 17mm thyroid nodule on the isthmus. I also have a WBC of 12.44 and a NEUT AUTO of 8.79 should I worry about cancer. It is over three weeks until my next doctor's appointment or I would be talking to him. I have every symptom they list for Thyroid cancer

Did you have a biopsy taken? Before I had my thyroid removed, I always had my thyroid nodules biopsied annually.
Sorry I don't know about the blood tests nor the lymph gland.
No biopsy yet, but I am thinking with the lymph node swollen and the white blood cell count elevated too they will biopsy it. They did do an ultra sound because even though we could feel the lump on my lymph node it did not show up on the CT scan. It did show up on the ultra sound. They didn't scan the thyroid during the ultra sound though. Thought that was strange.
the biopsy came back as suspicious of malignancy so the doctor is sending it off to the Mayo clinic. Should I worry about cancer considering I also have a swollen lymph node in the left side of the neck?
I just want to vent. I have for the last 2 yrs tryed to find out why my left side of my neck is all ways swollen. 3 differnt doctors told me same thing. I don't know. That was it they don't care to find out. For my own piece of mind I would like to know. It can't be cancer I am still alive after having it for 2 yrs. I think it is because I am now 70 I am a wast of there time.
