Does any one now of a good private dr? I had a lump appear on my left shoulder bone last Friday and have now got one on my chest bone about 2inces apart from each other. Has any one else getting hard lumps? Had X-ray on my shoulder awaiting results. Did not have one on my chest as came up 5days later

If you ring and make a "nuisence" of your self you are likely to be seen earlier. I have in the past rang the secretary regularly and explained my situation. You don't have to be unpleasant on the phone but explain that you are very worried. I have in the past cried when I spoke to secs (real emotions) and it has worked. I work in the healthservice and unfortunately it is the people that shout the loudest that get seen first.

Hi, any lumps should be dealt with urgency, x-rays are not the best diagnostic tool, an ultra sound should be the preferred option...If this is a new symptom go back to your GP...you should be referred to ultra sound and seen within 2 weeks...as Roslin states you have to make a 'nuisance', be noisy verbally or on paper....you are important and this must not wait until Feb...Take care

Hi You do need an Endo, private or NHS for this. If staying with the NHS one, ring his secretary , say that you need an urgent appointment, eg cancellation. If that no use, email the Endo a letter, via his secretary.

I have a brilliant Endo, but depends where you live and if you are willing to travel. My Endo is at Leamington Spa, private. She sees you quickly, although, unusually for her, actually way. Next clinic 30th November. How, ever that would give you time to have referrals done etc. If not covered with insurance, ask her to do scans, bloods etc, via the GP ( NHS) , although ultra sound quicker and done by a consulltant radiologist and not very expensive. MRI and nuclear scans and CT`s very expensive24 hour urine collections, usually £50. Bloods can also be done at her request by GP., unless worth paying to you for them.

If you want these details send me a PM, click n my name as must be recommended privately. from the general Forum.

Best wishes,

Jackie
