Hi Dani

Sorry you have had no replies, this is not a proper reply either, I'm afraid, I am just posting to put the post back in latest activity.

When I use to have the isotope scans I had to come off my medication, but cannot rightly remember how long for, but I do know it was for at least ten days and I did feel very ill. I had isotope scans quite regular for the first year after having partial thyroidectomy and they remainder removed by RAI. This was over twenty years ago, so I can't say what happens nowadays.

I'm sure they would have told you to come of your thyroxine if you needed to as they were very specific when they told me. Hope everything goes well for you. x

I wouldn't take it until after you've been.

Thanks for the reply. For thyroxine they said it was ok to take on the day, not sure why it doesn't just say that on the bloomin hospital sheet instead of "if you are taking Thyroxine call us", werid !
