help blood pressure gone through the roof
I don't know if it's normal, but I have high blood pressure and have had for several years. One thing worth investigating might be to test your aldosterone levels. Take a look at this dailymail.co.uk/health/arti...
I'm have an under-active thyroid too. A few weeks ago my BP went through the roof and I was dizzy as a coot. By the time I could see a GP it was down a lot but the dizziness was still there in the background. Still getting the odd slight dizzy spell, don't know why but my GP didn't seem worried. Don't know if this helps. Hope you find out soon.x
hi,Make sure your cholesterol is OK, with high BP important.Did you have a 24 hour monitor for the BP (GP) ?.The only way of forming at true picture, even NICE recommend it now.At large teaching hospitals there are Cardio` who specialise in blood pressure. If high AM usually a cause, if OK then but high PM , often just the stress of living. It is important to be sure before treatment and equally important to be treated if high.Ace inhibitors are best, Cardio`s favourites but there are a wide variety of drugs, some you will not get on with, side effects, so get a different script Make sure you have had your U`s and E`s done ( kidney function) as there is a connection..
Best wishes,
Jackie
