Thanks Moggie, a useful article that could be helpful to many here mistakenly diagnosed with IBS, tested negative for coelics etc.

I noted this comment in particular 'There's this mismatch between what doctors know and what the public are reporting.' Now where have we heard that before?

Thought the bit about anaemia and B12 deficiency would interest some on here, plus the weight gain. I will be taking a print out of this when I go and see my gastro next month as my coeliac blood test came back negative (although I did tell the silly endo before he ordered the test that I had been gluten free for over four months).

My adult daughter needs to show this to the numpty Gastroenterologist who gave her a prescription for her debilitating stomach condition. Yep, you've guessed it. Anti-depressants.

Why the hell would you give someone with stomach trouble anti depressants!!!!!

I hope my gastro don't try that on me next month, she'll get a mouth full from me if she does.
