Just had my TSH results back and again they are saying that there normal i am taking 50 Levothyroxine

But i am going back to my doctor to ask if they can test my T3 & T4 as these have never been test i feel worst than ever but feel like i am going mad

Hi - vikkiallenday - please can you get hold of your actual TSH result and range (figures in brackets) and post them on here? "Normal" is often in range and not necessarily normal for you. Hopefully your doctor will test your fT3 and fT4, although some labs won't do the fT3 even when a doctor requests it. x

The standard TSH test works for some people but for many the test will NEVER indicate their true thyroid status.

Please give us your most recent test result with reference range, but remember that other things may need to be tested too. See this page: thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/diagno...

If, after all these tests your results are still considered "normal" by your doctor but you do not feel better, get back to us again, as there are other suggestions we can make.

am going back to the doctor tomorrow so i can get my tsh results and let you know tomorrow the last one which was over a year ago was 3.0 i have never had my t3 and t4 tested should i ask when i go x

YES!Always ask for the full readout and keep it!Put it on here or do some google searches to see what the results mean...good luck!
