Trying to loose weight.

I am hypo and now my blood results are in 'normal' range, I'm on 100 mcg of Levo. Started cycling agin as I have arthritis and need to keep moving. I'm feeling fine most of the time apart from my monthly's which are now awful. How hard is Tito shift the weight ? My GP says it should come off at a normal rate with the usual effort ! I need to loose two stone. !

I am trying to find them, my GP printed them out, she did all of it, the full panel, even the b12, folate ect and said they were all smack in the middle, I've been feeling good recently. Not sure where I filed them ! Doh, I appreciate your input. Xx

It's good that you feel this is the right dose for you. :)

Some people find that a low carb diet is good for them.

Some other people on this site have had good results with the 5:2 diet.

Hi As Louise says ,it depends on your results, You should be OK on the right dose but may need some more thyroxine or the addition of T3. FT3 needs to be quite high in range for weight to be OK Ask for TSH, T4 and Free T3 and be sure to have a print out with the ranges.

Best wishes,

Jackie

I believe I am now just a tad under-medicated, but I have still lost 16 lbs in 9 weeks without a great deal of effort. I have carried on eating much as I always did, but have upped the exercise (cycling and walking).

After putting on 3 stone in 2 years on T3 only, being kept hideously under-medicated by a team of incompetent endos and having no help at all from the NHS dietitian I was referred to, I am absolutely delighted.
