was on 25mg Levo Mercury Pharma for 8 weeks with no problems. Had 5 and a half weeks of no aches and pains, choking fits etc and all symptoms were coming back so doctor put me up to 50mg yesterday. Hope dizziness goes away soon !
Took my first 50mg Levo Actavis tablet last nig... - Thyroid UK
Took my first 50mg Levo Actavis tablet last night, feeling very dizzy today, can not even sit or stand up ! Is this normal ?
No - this is NOT normal.
Do you have any Mercury Pharma 25mcg tablets left?
It might be worth considering taking two of them rather than an Actavis 50mcg. However, this is not meant to be advice so much as an observation. My advice? - I think you should go straight back to your doctor, discuss and, hopefully, get a replacement prescription. When you take that to a pharmacy, ask them to fulfil it with a Mercury Pharma product - and write that on their notes for you.
However, in that discussion with your doctor, you absolutely MUST cover the possibility that was not caused simply by a different formulation.

Thanks for your advice Rod.
Lucky I had some Levo Mercury Pharma left so I decided to try 2 x 25mg last night and was fine this morning so not sure if the Levo Actavis 50mg have some thing in them that my body didn't like or if it had a reaction with the Ferrous Sulfate 325mg I take in the mornings about 8 or more hours away from taking Levo.
Will contact my doctors next week to see if I can get another prescription and ask Pharmacy to give me Mercury Pharma tablets only. Wouldn't mind but asked the pharmacist about the different makes as they only do 50mg in Actavis (Almus on box in Boots) - each of the different mgs were different brands.
