Swollen Feet and Hands
Hi,
It must be most uncomfortable having swollen hands/feet. Swelling is a symptom of hypo but the hot weather too may be making you more uncomfortable. Were they swollen before the heatwave?
I assume you haven't been diagnosed with hypothyroidism but fibromyalgia. This is a link re fibro.

If you haven't had a recent thyroid gland blood test get one and post the results on a new question with the ranges so that someone will reply. You may be undermedicated.
Hi shaws sorry should have said i have Hashimotos before i was diagnosed i had this swelling of hands and feet which was last year i started on 25 levo then 50 then 75 had bloods done and was told to alternate between 50 and 75 i did try for 6 weeks but i felt so ill so i have been taking 75 i feel better not great but better have to go for bloods this week so we,ll see what they say x
You may be undermedicated. When you get your blood test results, you should be aiming for a TSH of 1 or below. Some even need a suppressed TSH to feel normal. The fact that you felt an improvement on 75 I should think you are now due another increase. Some GP's think that to keep you within 'normal' range is o.k. but it doesn't suit many of us. My TSH 0.01.
Hi, I wrote a very similar post a couple of weeks ago and then discovered that I was dehydrated which leads to fluid retention! Mine cleared up when I drank lots of extra glasses of water so you might try that. Suex
