so I got a letter today asking for a retest as my prolactin is high ...750 mu/l (less than 600)
this would explain everything! My TSH is between 1.4 and 1.9 in the last 6 months. But my ft4 was slightly below range 11.5(12-22) and now after 8 weeks of thyroxine it's 17. So definitely helping.
Do i have a pituitary issue? Is this what is causing hypothyroidism? And if so, is it reversible?
I am seeing dr skinner on Thursday so have these results in time to show him.
praying they don't take my thyroxine off me now.

Hypothyroidism can cause high prolactin levels. It might be that. I am, however, surprised your TSH is as low as it is given your T4 level. If they were to stop your thyroxine you would possibly find your prolactin levels going even higher, or so I understand it. I'm not 100% on this because I'm not medically trained, but this is what I understand from what I have read.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. Dr Skinner will probably be able to tell you what is happening though
