Ok so today i went to my GP, I explained my symptoms (tiredness, not being able to sleep, aching muscles, happy one minute down the next) and was given a blood test. Now it's the waiting game. I must say i'm a little nervous as to what to expect.
Don't know how i'm feeling: Ok so today i went to... - Thyroid UK
Don't know how i'm feeling
I wouldnt worry to much.If anything like me once you get going on Thyroxine you will notice big changes for the better. You are tired because you are not producing the correct amount of hormone so any amount of Thyroxine is a bonus so you should start to feel better quite quick,i did and with regular treatment and checks it should be easy to live with....Thats if you do have Thyroid trouble so fingers crossed for you you dont have it but i have seen my family live normal lives with it without problems,my dad had Thyroid trouble as well as my sisters and i am sure my mother had it as well as some uncles and cousins.
Something I wish I'd known a few years ago; be sure to get a print-out of the results of your blood test, including figures and the range so you can get an independent opinion. Don't accept an interpretation of 'normal, now goodbye'.
I have hypothyroidism and once I got started on treatment with levo - what a difference! It took a while to find my optimal level, but now I feel better than I have for many years!
Good luck.

are you taking any vitamins? might be worth taking some vitamin D and vitamin C and selenium and magesium B.... these conditions seriously muck around with your vitamins and sometimes it really helps to give them a big boost..
My results came back all clear today, but when asked what do i do now i kind of got the brush off.. So my question is Do i lay low or push to get seen again. I don't know what is wrong with me and i've been given no explanation as to why these symptoms are occuring.
