Whilst I'm waiting for gp to contact me in regards to prescribing t3 and iron as instructed from lovely private endo I keep dropping in tempreture, I can be warm and my temp will drop and my skin is very cold, regardless of extra clothing. Any one else? Thanks in advance. X
Does anybody have this symptom?: Whilst I'm... - Thyroid UK
Does anybody have this symptom?
Hi Merissa, Could be lots of things, have you had a Diabetes test? I always contact my GP as they have the letters very quickly, mine waits if it means spending money until I "nag".It may settle when on the correct thyroid treatment. If not had a recent one, I would and send the results via her secretary. The Diabetes ones too.
Best wishes,
Jackie
Thanks Jackie, no diebeties test, although not sure what they measure, I don't have excessive drinking? I have received letter from endorsement however I assumed that go will contact me, I am worried that t3 is not going to be given, also some of my other test are above the range, cortisol, pottasium and bone profile, will having thyroid issues cause above normal results? Gp not in till next week, I am still fuming with gp, who tried to make her referral letter sound as if I'm completely bonkers. Thank God for Dr b who took no notice. I will always ask for my letters now, having read the one sent to Dr b, hate going to surgery. Thanks again hun. Xx
Don't let their valueless opinions get under your skin, Merissa. We have all had these bandied about, what do they know of our suffering? About your coldness/dropping temperature I got this in style when was undermedicated. Blazing July days (talking history here) and was huddled. shivering in bed with electric blanket blasting heat, took two hours to feel human again. Adding T3 to T4 (T4 reduced by 50mcg for 10mcg T3) fixed that so hope you get your T3.
Lol predictive Tex, I' mean endo and gp. Sure you will understand. X
Hi Merissa, Is it when you sit? If I sit for a long time I can get very cold indeed. I find in the evening I have my big cardigan and a blanket over me on the sofa. If you mean your temperature drops whilst you are active, that does seem to be unusual. X
