Xray instead of ultrasound

Hi am now more confused aa the ultrasound my doc sent me for turned out to be two xrays one side and one front when I asked about what they saw was curtly told im not a doctor but there is nothing that requires a trip to a and e. So now I have to wait again till cons looks at xray writes report and sends to doc Arghhh

I really don't know but thought that a scan would show more indepth.
