I take my Levo at night around 11am and am up for my first bloodtest next week. I think it's a bit of a late test, 10:30am ish, so is it ok to take my Levo at normal time? Probably the answer is yes but just wanted to check.

Blood Test. I take Levo at night.
I am assuming you take your meds at 11 p.m. If so, miss this dose and take it after your blood test.
Yes sorry 11pm. So you suggest not taking until after the bloods the next morning?
I take all my meds in morning even before my blood test and have done for 21yrs no dr has told me any different so take meds as usual the test won't be right if you miss one. Hope that helps
I agree with Shaws, you do not want your results to look higher as they may decide to reduce your dose.
Bit confused as it says take the "desiccated thyroid" the day before labwork and not on the day. That is what would happen. It would be nearly 12 hours beforehand.
I know people who take in the morning should take after the appointment. Can someone explain why a gap of 10-12 hours isn't enough please?

Your first quote is for people who take their pills in the morning, right?
Regarding your question about the gap:
It has to do with the half life of these drugs. When it says to "not on the day" of labwork. It means not until AFTER the blood draw but then you can take your meds.
This is because the GP's tend to UNDERtreat and if your numbers look as if you are overtreated (which they may if you take a dose just before a test) they could reduce your medication.
