Endo that specialises in Diabetes...Problem???

I have my first appointment next week, I am a private patient and on researching the consultant, I find he specialises in Diabetes. Just wondered if this is going to be a problem before I go? At least then, I won't be disappointed with the outcome.

I'm also going to an endo who specialises in diabetes! AND have my first appointment next week on Friday, but I'm not going private . I'm on the NHS . even having to travel , 90 miles because I saw this one on the TPA doctors list! my appointment is at Colchester hospital.

Hiya,

let me know how you get on and I'll let you know too.

Just got some blood test results and I've tested positive for ANA with Nucleolar pattern, do you know what this means?

Good luck with your appointment.

This is an academic page about different ANA patterns:

thank you Natalie,

okay , I will do. I'm not sure what that means that I wonder whether it is referring to the nucleus in the middle of the blood cells (huh?)

trust all goes well with your appointment.

Have you checked the endo you are seeing on this website?

If I were paying privately I would make sure that he was a specialist in thyroid.

Hi my endos are located in a diabtes clinic and it is a complete farce. The nurse always wants a urine sample and I have to explain everytime that I do not have diabetes. They always ask if I need diabeteic diet advice so I explain again. Then there is the lack of appointments because the clinic is busting with guess what? diabetic patients.

It is rubbish. Do find a proper endo that specialises in the thyroid or else you will be wasting your money.

Not what you're looking for?
